Wow. wow. wow. That was a spectacular show. I saw St. Vincent perform at the El Rey in Los Angeles on February 10, 2010 and I was amazed at what a talented musician she is. The whole show was great.
Wildbirds and Peacedrums put on a great show as the opening band. They have such a unique sound, consisting almost entirely of percussion. Super thanks to them for coming all the way from Sweden to share their wonderful music with us.
St. Vincent came out and from start to finish, it was fantastic. In addition to having such a sweet melodious voice, she just played a mean guitar, from careful finger picking to just shredding it out. She even surprised us with a great cover of “These Days” by Nico (Chelsea Girl, 1967).
My posters were sold at the show. I have now uploaded them to my website and online store.

This is Will, friend of Emily, and those St. Vincent posters are so cool! I asked at the show in SF if they had any of the posters for the LA show on sale. They told me they hadn’t picked them up from the artist yet. Time to shop on the web ) Very cool show, I agree.
